Title: Payroll Officer
Job Location: London
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: £25,388 – £26,500/Annum
Your payroll experience has given you a thorough working knowledge of PAYE/NI and SSP/SMP. All you need now is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as a Payroll Officer.
Your challenge? To help with the administration of weekly and monthly payrolls, as well as a range of general duties that enable the smooth and efficient running of our Payroll function. As well as collating and checking timesheets/expense forms, bank details etc. and inputting them onto our payroll system (Workday), we’ll rely on you to check payroll output reports and raise the necessary documentation. Maintaining and updating our filing systems will be an important aspect of the role too, as will responding to general questions and queries from staff and managers. Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data input, providing management information reports for the Payroll & Pensions Manager and contributing to regular team meetings via MS Teams/Skype – all are elements of this vital HR support role.
To succeed, you’ll need proven relevant experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, with excellent spreadsheet skills (if you’re familiar with Workday Payroll, even better, though not essential). It goes without saying that you’re highly numerate and have strong attention to detail, but you’ll also need good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organise your work and manage your time effectively. Self-motivated, comfortable under pressure, able to work on your own initiative/unsupervised and committed to providing an efficient service, you’re flexible, adaptable and happy to carry out routine office duties as required.
