Job Summary

We are looking for a part time Project Manager to support the CEO with the day-to-day operations of a London based charity that focuses on the physical and mental wellbeing of older people. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a unique opportunity to join a passionate, energetic and diverse team in a rapidly growing organisation. The Project Manager is a key member of the Silverfit team and will be responsible for overseeing the operations of selected Silverfit venues, marketing and administrative duties.

What is Silverfit? Founded in 2013, Silverfit has grown into an exciting charity led by older people for older people. Its aim is to promote happier, healthier ageing through physical activity by combatting social isolation. The Silverfit “sandwich” formula of socialising-exercise socialising helps older people be more active, make new friends, feel more confident and enjoy life as they age, while reducing social and healthcare costs.

Areas of responsibility:
Administration & Operations • Manage the charity’s sessions and their day-to-day operations • Visit allocated London venues regularly and explore potential new locations • Manage databases and administrative tasks related to HR records, membership and sensitive materials including surveys and reviews • Recruit and manage instructors, ensuring they have necessary qualifications, certificates and insurance • Recruit new members by reaching out to local organisations, community groups and external partners • Assist in writing reports and funding applications • Organise training for staff and volunteers • Assist in drafting and reviewing organisational policies • Recruit, organise and manage volunteers

Marketing, PR & Events • Research marketing opportunities such as flyer drops, website promotion, social media and local event & festival participation • Build and maintain relationships with external organisations, local officials, GP surgeries, local health authorities and councils to promote Silverfit and its ethos • Manage and execute annual and ad hoc fundraising events, managing budgets and marketing

Requirements: • Project Management and/or managerial experience • Proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint • Effective time management and prioritisation • Analytical abilities and a proven track-record of problem-solving skills • Brilliant communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with a broad range of stakeholders • Familiarity with diverse business functions such as fundraising and communications • Creative and being able to help generate new concepts and ideas to move the charity towards its goals
Renumeration: Competitive based on experience for 20 hours a week
