Stockroom Associate / Asociado de Almacén

Salary: £11.00 and £13.00 per hour

Job Description

  • Deliver an incredible customer experience through supporting the sales team by supplying merchandise requested by the customer.
  • Assists with stock functions including stock processing, filling and stocking racks, in-store inventories, moving walls of product, etc.
  • Completes all inventory processes promptly and accurately as instructed, in order to limit losses and shrink
  • Cleans overall stockroom as required including daily housekeeping to ensure the stockroom is always organised, neat and tidy throughout the shift and at closing in order to prepare for the next day’s business
  • Work with accuracy at pace to process shipment, recover, clean and fill within deadlines
  • Ensure their positive energy and enthusiasm for people is shared with every customer and team member every day
  • Follow policy & procedure as well as operational best practices to ensure a healthy, safe and profitable store

Core skills as a Stockroom Associate

  • Be able to accomplish multiple tasks whilst maintaining excellent inventory control.
  • Prevent loss by never losing focus, and always ensuring your service is proactive, accurate and dependable
  • Preferably already have retail/customer service experience in a team-orientated fast paced environment
  • Be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally in English (other relevant languages are an advantage)
  • Have basic mathematics skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Job Requirements

  • You are required to consistently move about inside the store to greet and sell to customers, arrange merchandise and inventory and clean the store, etc.
  • You will frequently communicate with customers, both in person and over the telephone, to meet, greet, serve and sell products.
  • You may frequently ascend/descend a ladder or step stool to access shelves, stock shelves, arrange merchandise, clean the store, etc.
  • You must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25kg, carrying at a specified distance dependent on the work area, or use the Buddy System e.g. asking for assistance from a co-worker.
  • You may occasionally be required to remain in a stationary position, reaching with hands and arms.
    While performing the duties of this job, you may be exposed to loud music.
